Virginia Beach Botanical Gardens

These are photos from the Botanical Gardens which are only about 10-15 minutes away from our house. They lie right beside the airport and Katie took mum and dad around them for the better part of an entire day. It was late June so there was a wide variety of different flowers that were in bloom. There was also a lot of butterflies however they were told that in the coming weeks there would be even more of them! They did come across 2 lonely black snakes (which came to a suprise to a worker there who said 'we don't have snakes'.

When we first got down here there were at least 10 turtles all sitting enjoying the sun on the bank, they were so cute!!

If you look closely you can see the Eagles nest (it was HUGE) in the middle of the picture and then off to the left you can see the Eagle!!
