House - Updated 12TH NOV 2009

This is the house that we moved into on the 2nd of April 2009. It is located halfway between Virginia Beach and Norfolk and is also on a Golf Resort. It is about 12 miles to NAS Norfolk for John's work and takes about 25-30 minutes one way. The house is three bedrooms plus a study and washer and dryer (all upstairs), and the living room, kitchen, dining room and family room all located downstairs. All the appliances are gas, including the hot water and there's also a gas fire place in the family room. The back yard has some nice trees and garden areas for Katie to work on and a nice size shed to fit lots of stuff in. The house faces north so the back yard is sheltered from the prevailing Northerlies.

Ok, so we have everything moved in and are very happy with how it all looks!! Notice how much the tree has changed out the front!

This is the picture we got from Barbados that i was telling you about mum, pretty nice hey!

Put him to work as soon as we moved in!!

Above is the study and primarily John's room-  nice and organised and below you have the craft room (mine) and...a mess!! Yet to get to this room :-)

Here are some pictures of our beautiful blooming gardens!! It looks so different to when we first moved in!

It's amazing how much thicker and greener the grass is hey! John has to mow about once a week!

We put new woodchips in the garden, and on the right are my calla lillies, they are much bigger now but no flowers yet...

These are the roses in the garden pictured above.

This is the back garden - it looks so pretty with everything flowering!! These flowers look like cotton!!

There were a ton of weeds under this trees, so John dug it up and made a little garden. These roses are directly outside our kitchen window and there are still heaps of buds to come out!!

This pink rose is just down from the rose pictured on the right.

We put new woodchip in this garden also and planted  "popcorn" flowers which is on the right and pansies in here.

We put flowers in the garden to the left of the driveway and the flowers pictured are in garden at the front.

These are planted in the garden to the left of the driveway, can't remember what they are called but they are pretty cool!!
