Our New York Trip!!!!
Off we headed to the Big Apple!! It was AMAZING, we had big days but we fit everything in and for the most the weather was great, not near as cold as when brooke and I went so no need for beanies, gloves, scarves or big jackets!! The only day we had rain was the day we planned to go to Macy's so it didn't bother us at all!! Our apartment, which we rented privately, was great and literally in the heart of Times Square, if anyone is planning on visiting let me know and i can put you in contact with the owner! We did the hop on hop off bus tour (well worth it!) which included an uptown, downtown, Brooklyn and night tour. We went up the Empire State building (Brooke you wouldn't believe the line), caught the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island all were SPECTACULAR!! We also saw Ground Zero and what they are planning and building in their place, very emotional and surreal!! We also walked through Central Park and went to the Central Park Zoo! Our days as you can tell were pretty packed, some nights we didn't get to have dinner till 11pm!! The Movie Site tour was great, although still waiting to spot someone famous!! We did see where soooooo many films had been made though!! We also did ALOT of walking around and looking up, as, as everyone knows New York is just up up up!! It is such a great place to visit and so many things to do and see, i have been there twice now and still have things i would like to do!!
The train ride to NEW YORK CITY!!! We thought there may have been a little more to see along the way but it still went really quick (It was an 8hr trip), nice and relaxing, which was great as New York is anything but relaxing!! The picture on the right is the cafe cart...
This was our apartment!! It was soooo nice! Top right was mine and John's room (gotta be some advantages to being pregnant :-), thanks mum and dad!) and bottom left was mum and dad's room (sofa folded out and they said it was comfortable!) Bottom right was just outside!!
New York will make you go a bit crazy :-) Much better on the right!! This was the hop on hop off bus tour which we had for 3days, well worth it!
